In 2000 is het eerste naaktstrand in België officieel geopend. Bredene heeft als eerste kustgemeente een naaktstrand.
Dankzij een goede samenwerking tussen de FBN en het gemeentebestuur kunnen naturisten gebruik maken van een gedeelte van het strand van Bredene.
De ligging aan de voet van een beschermd duinenreservaat waarborgt een stukje privacy.
Ook hier waken tijdens de maanden juli en augustus de strandredders over de veiligheid van de baders.

Dogs are prohibited on the beaches of Bredene during the period 1 juli till 1 September between 10:30 till 18:30.Further, we also recommend reading the information board, with the local beach rules, which is often placed near every beach (entrance).
Leashed dogs are allowed all year:

Most shops, beach clubs, bars, terraces and restaurants remain open during the weekends in the low season. Many are also open throughout the week.
Each year the low season in Bredene begins after the autumn holidays till the beginning of the spring holidays. Several shops, beach clubs and restaurants use this period to rebuild, renew or for vacation. As a result, during this low season period, not all stores are opened every day.
Furthermore there is no general period when all the restaurants, bars and shops are closed. All entrepreneurs determine the temporary closure individually. Therefore is there are, also in the low season, enough shops and restaurants opened for you to enjoy.

Strandvisserij en hengelen op het strand is verboden op onderstaande plaatsen en/of tijdstippen:
a) in de zones die door het gemeentebestuur als badzone worden aangeduid en dit vanaf 1 juni tot en met 15 september;
- deze zones worden aangeduid door middel van oranje of gele boeien en borden met pictogram;
- dit verbod geldt over de volledige lengte van het strand en de zee tussen de golfbrekers van bedoelde zone;
b) in de zone voor het beoefenen van het plankzeilen op zee (zoals omschreven in artikel 6.1.34);
c) in de zones voor vaartuigen (zoals omschreven in artikel 6.1.41).
De andere strandgebruikers mogen niet gehinderd worden door de activiteit van de hengelaar of diens lijnen of haken.
